Accommodations

Location

Tejas Yoga is located at 1300 S Wabash Ave, Suite 201, at the intersection of 13th and Wabash Streets (a block south of the Roosevelt/Wabash intersection). We are located on the 2nd floor of the BMO Harris building.

Public Transit

We are conveniently located near public transportation, so we encourage you to choose this option. Tejas Yoga is located one block south of the Roosevelt stop on the Red, Green, and Orange Line trains and is close to multiple bus lines. We are also one block south of a Divvy bike station.

Parking

There is metered street parking near the studio on 13th and Wabash. There are a limited number of unmetered spots also. If you are driving, please budget an additional 15 minutes to find and pay for parking. Special events at Soldier Field or at Northerly Island may impact traffic and parking.

The parking lots closest to Tejas Yoga are at 1409 S Wabash and 1419 S Wabash. Bring at least $5/$6 cash (rates vary and are often open to negotiation) and mention you are a workshop student. For peace of mind, we recommend reserving parking in advance using sites like Spothero.com or Parkwhiz.com.

Tejas Yoga does not have designated parking spaces for students. The two spaces we rent behind the studio are strictly reserved for teachers working that day and event staff.

Lunch Break/ Options

Feel free to enjoy a quick lunch on your own or with other workshop attendees. We have created a list of recommended lunch places near Tejas.

You are welcome to bring your own lunch. You can picnic near the southern entrance to Grant Park a few blocks away (weather permitting). Please keep voices low to a “library level” (higher than a whisper, lower than a regular conversational tone) while in the studio. We do ask that all food items and open containers stay in the lobby area.

What to bring

  • Wear casual, comfortable clothing — layers are highly recommended
  • Water bottle and/or travel mug with a lid. The studio has a filtered water station dispensing hot/cold water.
  • Paper and pen/journal if you wish to take notes.
  • Snacks/tea bags/lunch or money for lunch.

What not to bring

  • Many fellow participants are sensitive to scents and chemicals. Please do not use perfumes, colognes, highly-scented lotions, etc.
