Ali came to yoga in 2005 as she was searching for a way to offset stress and ease back pain. Yoga helped on both fronts. The benefits of practicing yoga continue to weave into all aspects of her life. Ali started practicing and studying with Jim Bennitt and James Tennant at Tejas in 2009 and received her 200hour teacher certification in 2012. She is continually inspired by and grateful for the wonderful community at Tejas. She is continuing her studies at Tejas and teaches hatha style yoga. Her classes are sequenced to create both flexibility and strength to bring the body back to a more balanced state. In class, Ali teaches postures, breathing and meditation techniques that students can use on and off the mat in their daily lives.
