Introduction to Yoga

This is a four-class series beginning on the FIRST Sunday or FIRST Wednesday of each month. You will be introduced to basic postures (asana), breathwork (pranayama), meditation techniques, and yoga philosophy.

Foundational

After the Introduction to Yoga Series, you will continue to lay the groundwork for your asana practice. You will become more familiar with your own limitations and strengths.

 

Open

This class offers options for the experienced beginner as well as the seasoned practitioner. During asana practice, several variations or options are presented to allow each student to feel challenged, physically and mentally.

 

Vigorous

More complex asana and intricate pranayama techniques are offered to you in the vigorous class. This class is for the experienced practitioner who is looking to explore more challenging sequences, postures, and subtle practices.

Restorative

This class is designed for deep relaxation. This class welcomes students of all levels.

 

Gentle

Basic postures, simple movement, and accessible strengthening exercises are elements of this class. You’ll find slow, controlled movement, some standing postures, supported postures, and some passive stretches.

 

STRENGTH & MOBILITY

This class will incorporate more active movements to take your joints through a full range of motion and less passive stretching than a typical yoga class.

 
 
 

Postures & pranayama

This class has the perfect balance of mindful movements, cleansing breathwork, and centering meditation to help you experience the mental clarity that defines yoga.
