Like many students, Jenni came to Yoga through movement practice at her fitness center. She became hooked on the life-transforming potential of this multi-faceted discipline once she started applying all eight limbs of the practice to her life, especially meditation. After her initial training with Vinyasa master Rolf Gates in 2009, she continued studying with Lori Gaspar, Bernie Clark, Jim Bennitt, James Tennant, Josh Summers, Shamash Alidina, and the teachers of Spirit Rock Meditation Center. Jenni celebrates Yoga as a way to cultivate energy, and then wisely and skillfully apply it towards worthy goals. This could be as personal as improving a challenging pose, or as universal as scattering joy to all beings. Her asana practice emphasizes anchoring to the breath, building strength and stability, creating an aligned foundation for flexibility and expression, and most importantly fostering illumination through brave and honest reflection. Her classes are physically challenging but emotionally restful. She also teaches and encourages meditation, finding that its practice is becoming increasingly important in her own life. She likes to remind students that our aim is not a better pose, but a better life.
