The Tejas Yoga Mentorship program is a 12-month immersion that will help you deepen your practice while establishing a comprehensive foundation in the three sister sciences - yoga, ayurveda, and tantra.
Our educational philosophy is centered on assisting you to cultivate your strengths and uncover any deep-seated behavior that may be inhibiting you from reaching your fullest potential.
You’ll leave the program with a comprehensive understanding of these disciplines of yoga and a sense of confidence to develop your own sadhana or spiritual practices.
The program is built around Saturday workshops, ongoing classes, and one-on-one sessions. During the 12-month program, you’ll have access to over 50 workshops which will allow you to gain invaluable insight into the theory, practice, and philosophy of yoga, ayurveda, and tantara.
Most workshops are held on Saturdays beginning at 2 p.m. and ending between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. Occasionally, we hold a workshop on Sunday. No workshops are scheduled on holiday weekends.
The mentorship program is accessible to all levels of practice.
Individual Attention
You will have 3 private sessions with either Jim or James to establish a self-practice that is designed to meet your needs and to work on any specific intentions or goals you have for yourself as you move through this program.
James will conduct an ayurvedic assessment with you within the first month of the training. This will allow you to begin the program with a foundational knowledge of Ayurveda and how to apply basic principles to help you achieve more balance and well-being.
We limit the program to 10 spaces per year. By limiting the group size, we are more available to coach and mentor you.
Encouragement and Accountability
In addition to the time you’ll spend in workshops and training sessions, there will be reading assignments and other recommended activities such as journaling, short written assignments, self-practice, and group practice hours.
21 Days of Wellness Program
In the first month of the program, you’ll focus on how you can apply Ayurveda to your daily life, starting by attending James’ Introduction to Ayurveda workshop. Shortly following, you’ll begin the 21 Days of Wellness program. This program will not only help you make a seamless transition into spring but it will also help you to create a “clean slate” as you embark on this journey of self-exploration.
We’ve found the 21 Days of Wellness program to be an effective strategy for promoting self-observation, detoxifying the physical body, and balancing the mind. You’ll become more aware of your eating and lifestyle behavior giving you an opportunity to reveal areas of your life for growth and change.
