Prenatal yoga: Supporting PRACTITIONERS DURING Pregnancy
With Katie Rowe Mitchell
Saturday-Sunday, July 18—19, 2020
Pregnancy is a physical, emotional, and often spiritual journey. This course is designed to give yoga teachers the knowledge and confidence to safely instruct prenatal students. Support and serve expectant mothers during this transformative and deeply personal experience.
You will learn to teach appropriate techniques for asana, pranayama, and meditation. We’ll lead a variety of modified Sun Salutations and poses which support anatomical and physiological shifts of each trimester. There will be discussion on how a prenatal sequence differs from a general class as well as strategy on how to include a pregnant student in a general class.
A manual will be included.
Please note: For these modules there is a 10-person maximum and 5-person minimum. You must register one week prior to the start of the program or have a deposit down of $100 to reserve your space. If the course is canceled due to low attendance, you will be notified 7 days prior to the start date and will receive a full refund.
